One of my goals for this year is to read through the Bible. To be honest, I have NEVER read through the Bible before. I have read many parts of the Bible many times, but each time I start reading the whole Bible, I just stop.
This time, my husband is reading with me so I have someone keeping me accountable. I have LOVED reading with him. It makes me really think about what I am reading as well, since I send him my observations in email. Also, if I have questions, I can ask him and he can usually help me understand what I am reading.

Do you want to join us? Here you can find a few different plans, we are reading the Kingdom Plan (#2). Feel free to email me if you have any thoughts, observations or questions.
The verse I am memorizing this week comes from Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, who is in heaven."

Hi Becky! I think this is my first comment for the new year. :0)
ReplyDeleteI am also reading through the Bible this year using a reading plan from YouVersion. I'm excited about discovering parts of the Word I'm not familiar with!!
I just confessed on my blog that I have not read through the entire Bible yet either! I wrote it down as one of my goals for this year in order to remedy that this year. I'm using The One Year Bible by God Sightings. I hope to dedicate a blog post a week on what I am learning and link up with you all in the future!
ReplyDeletePlease check your button. I could not get it to work.
ReplyDeleteGlad to find you.
I think I have commented on your blog before about reading through the Bible in a year. This is a great spiritual discipline and I have done it 3 times. This year I am trying to memorize Scripture.
Blessings,
Janis
